Center for STCSY Conference
In April 2022, based on the laboratory of resistance of materials of SSU together with the department of computer mechanics named after Volodymyr Martsynkovsky, an annual conference will be held from the Center for Scientific and Technical Creativity of Student Youth, which will be dedicated to the memory of the famous scientist and teacher, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Volodymyr Albinovych Martsynkovsky. Pupils of the Center - students of 8-11 grades of Sumy, Lebedyn, Bilopillya will present reports on theoretical mechanics, the resistance of materials, electrical engineering, and more.

20TH TRIBO-PPRIME WORKSHOP "High Performance Materials for Journal and Thrust Bearings"
Andriy Zahorulko, Head of the Department of Computational Mechanics named after Volodymyr Martsynkovskyy, and Yaroslav Sapozhnikov, a PhD-student of the Department, took part in the 20th THRIBO-PPRIME WORKSHOP "High Performance Materials for Journal and Thrust Bearings", which took place on October 7-8, 2021 at Pprime Institute, Poitiers University. Poitiers, France, participating countries: France, Switzerland, USA, Ukraine, Poland, Germany, Italy, Austria, Russia, Denmark, Japan. During the discussion, a number of important issues were considered, which revealed the essence of the operation of bearings - new materials and methods to improve the performance of bearings, experimental and numerical studies, their dynamic behavior.
A graduate of the Department of Computational Mechanics named after Volodymyr Martsynkovsky made his way to the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo
The last qualifying tournament for the Olympic Games in Tokyo took place on June 17-21 in Paris. Oleksiy Gunbin, a Volodymyr Martsynkovsky Department of Computational Mechanics graduate, finished fourth in the individual shooting, wons his teammate Georgy Ivanytsky from Lviv 6: 4 (28:28, 28:28, 28:29, 28:26, 28: 26). In the semifinals, he lost to Dana Olara from Moldova and in the bronze final to Finn Antti Wickstrom. One week before the start of the 2020 Olympics, Oleksiy Gunbin arrived in Tokyo.
