In 2010 Head of the Department of General Mechanics and Dynamics of Machines, PhD, Professor V.A. Martsynkovskyy received the Honorary Doctor of Polish Institute of Technology (Kielce). At a solemn ceremony was represented delegation of vice-rector for scientific work Chornous A.M., Dean of TeSET Gusak O.G., Assistant professor Zagorulko A.V. and other important Sumy citizens. The ceremony was attended by Polish, Czech and Romanian scientists.

Cooperation with the University of Technology lasts more than 20 years. In particular, Martsynkovskyy V.A. was a consultant of 2 doctoral theses of Polish professors B.Antoshevsky and C.Kundera, has joint publications with Polish scientists.

Department works closely with the Silesian Technical Institute as part of scientific agreement. Department has scientific articles and patents with Dr. Hab. A.Korczak and Dr. Peczkis.

Due to  close cooperation between the Sumy State University and Kielce University of Technology members of the Department - Ph.D., Associate prof. Zagorulko A.V., laboratory chief Gudkov S.M., junior researcher Altyntsev E.I. and postgraduate Gerasymiva K.P. in 2009 were teached in Summer School Program of European University Exchange (CEEPUS) in Kielce (Poland).

In 2008 in Przemysl (Poland) hosted the XII International Scientific Conference "HERVICON-2008". Co-founders and sponsors of the conference: JSC NPO "Energomash" (Russia), "Izoherm" (Russia), "Hydraulic Machines and Systems" (Russia), JSC NPO "Gidromash" (Russia), "Polonit" (Poland), "ANGA" (Poland), "Gambit" (Poland), "Powen-Wafapomp SA" (Poland), "Hydro-Vacuum SA" (Poland), "Bialogon SA" (Poland), "Orlen" (Poland), "Spetech" (Poland). Conference was attended by over 100 representatives from Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Poland, Slovakia and Czech Republic.

In cooperation with the Silesian Technical Institute (Gliwice, Poland), Ph.D., Associate Professor Zagorulko A.V. and student Pavlenko I.V. passed in 2004 academic training in Silesian Technical Institute. During the internship was held scientific seminar, visited aerodynamics laboratory with laser equipment (Gliwice), hydraulic laboratory (Wroclaw) and Heart Institute. Also conducted familiarity with pumping enterprise JSC "Powen-Wafapomp Group".

In 2005, Ph.D., associate professor Zagorulko A.V. and student Pavlenko I.V. have academic training in Silesian Technical Institute. They work in a coal mine Bytom-III at a depth of 800 meters in pumping contaminated groundwater.

In 2007, Ph.D., associate professor Zagorulko A.V. and postgraduate Pavlenko I.V. have academic training in Silesian Technical Institute on the topics "Modeling rotor of multistage pump with hydraulic balancing device", "Calculation of centrifugal pumps of vertical design, loaded with cyclic radial force". As part of the internship were visited leading companies manufacturing pumping equipment such as JSC "Powen-Wafapomp Group", "ANGA" Ltd, JSC "Gliwickie Zaklady Urzadzen Technicznych (GZUT)".
